The most realistic McKinsey Solve practice available. Our Sea Wolf simulation and Redrock simulation recreate the real timed assessments — same phases, same pressure, same scoring — and the Sustainable Futures Lab tests project management and crisis decision-making under time pressure. The Sea Wolf Solver walks you through microbe selection across three contamination sites. For BCG candidates, the BCG Quantitative Reasoning simulation recreates the 40-minute numeracy test. The Ecosystem Solver derives the optimum food chain. One fair price for three runs.
Powered by a full AI backend for scoring, behavioural and decision analytics during every simulation run.

Each McKinsey Solve game rewards a structured, repeatable method. Our simulations mirror the real timed assessments and our solvers implement the exact selection logic you'd do by hand — instantly and reproducibly — so you arrive at the optimal answer every time.
A full timed, 3-site Sea Wolf assessment that mirrors the real McKinsey Solve experience — same phases, same pressure, same scoring. Nothing else comes closer to the genuine thing. Three difficulty levels — Easy, Medium and Hard — with over 100 unique scenarios, so an optimum selection of microbes is not always guaranteed, exactly as in the real assessment.
Work through profile, categorization, prospect building and final selection under the clock. When time's up, you get a full AI-powered score breakdown — microbe routing analysis, timing and pacing analytics, decision-making insights, and a per-site effectiveness breakdown — so you can see exactly how you'd have done and where to improve.
No installs, no accounts, no data uploaded. The whole simulation runs client-side — load the page, confirm your run, and practise the Sea Wolf game as many times as you've bought runs for.
No vague frameworks, no guesswork. Our simulations recreate the real timed assessments — same phases, same pressure, same in-game tools — with a full AI backend scoring every run. Train on the Sea Wolf and Redrock simulations, drill decision-making in the Sustainable Futures Lab, and the Sea Wolf Solver picks the optimal microbe trio for you.
A timed, like-for-like simulator of the real Sea Wolf assessment — same phases, same prompts, same pressure. Easy, Medium and Hard difficulties mean an optimum microbe selection isn't always guaranteed, just like the real thing. Full scoring and microbe-routing analytics at the finish.
The complete 35-minute Redrock assessment with Research Journal, calculator, drag-and-drop data, six scored Cases and a full performance breakdown — mirrors the genuine McKinsey Redrock experience end to end.
Six scenarios of varying complexity test prioritisation, stakeholder management and crisis decision-making under time pressure. Every attempt returns a personalised AI feedback report with full personality, strength, weakness and decision-making analysis.
Trait filters, prospect scoring and the optimal-three auto-pick reproduce the exact selection logic the game rewards — across all three contamination sites — instantly and reproducibly.
Real screenshots of both tools working through sample cases. Every step runs entirely in your browser — no data leaves your machine.
The solver groups every producer by identical depth & temperature ranges, finds the cell with the highest total calories, and lists the winning set in descending order. Stats above show the calorie sum and the environmental window.
Species are sorted by calories provided and chained predator-to-prey, subtracting calories required at each step. The result: the longest viable chain (up to 8 species) with total calories and producers placed automatically.
Set your traits and attribute labels once. The Sea Wolf Solver applies them to every site, so you only enter the case's key once — Sites 2 & 3 skip straight to filters.
Each round, the solver ranks the three candidate microbes by trait priority and attribute fit, then auto-selects the best one (★). Edit any attribute and the ranking re-evaluates instantly — no manual clicking.
Screenshots show sample data. Your inputs stay in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
A full simulation end-to-end — every phase from start to finish. Tap any frame to pause, or let the loop run.
Real reviews from buyers who used the solvers and simulators to prepare for their McKinsey Solve assessment.
When I applied before my MBA I didn't get an invite to R1 or a callback, I think it was partially because I ended up running out of time. Keen not to lose the opportunity this year, I decided to try this and I'm quite glad I did. Thankfully I got the email inviting me to first round shortly after this, so THANK YOU!
The Sea Wolf solver saved me — I just didn't have enough time to prep for this as I was handling loads of applications at the same time. It would be worth the £10 on its own twenty times over but I ended up getting the bundle.
Honestly skeptical at first, I thought it would be some vague framework but it's not. Strangely and I don't know how you guys did it the questions were very, very similar from the simulations. The solver was quite easy to use and took me about 4 minutes to punch in the numbers and get the answers.
Bought the bundle the night before my assessment and ran through two of each of the simulations. Didn't expect much given how little I'd prepared for this particular assessment, I was mainly casing. I finished both games with time to spare though, normally I'm rushing on the last screen barely reading things! The hour I spent actually felt like it was enough preparation.
I'm experienced/switching careers so it's been ages since I've touched ANYTHING like this. I was a little nervous going into it, admittedly. This put my mind at rest and was worth every dollar. Massive thanks!
Used it purely for practice with the simulations since I didn't feel using the solvers was right for me. The simulations basically match exactly what the real game asks and look like, but with a different color scheme. I did make it through without the calculators but I'm pretty sure I would have ran out of time without the simulation prep.

No. Ace the Solve is a service providing independent study aids for the McKinsey Solve ecosystem — it is not endorsed by or affiliated with McKinsey & Company, BCG or any other commercial entity unless otherwise explicitly written.
After checkout you receive an access token with a personalised return link. Open a solver or simulator, confirm the "enter & consume run" prompt, and one run is consumed server-side — you can then re-run within that session as many times as you like. Every product (Ecosystem Solver, Sea Wolf Solver, Sea Wolf Simulation, Sustainable Futures Lab, Redrock Simulation, BCG Quant Simulation) gives you three runs per purchase. If you buy the McKinsey bundle, you get three runs of all five McKinsey tools; BCG Quant is sold separately. Consumed runs cannot be reused.
No, data privacy is a big concern and as a candidate you should feel confident that your e-mail, name and any other details will remain private. We do not create user accounts and the entire solver runs client-side. Your assessment data is never sent to a server.
There's no time limit — your token stays valid until you use it. Once you confirm entry to a solver (or start a simulation run), that run is consumed, but you can re-run within the open session as often as you like. Tokens don't expire, so you can buy now and solve later.
